All this while upholding the moral values ​​we hold dear, as stakeholders in a more sustainable fashion industry.

While designing your dream vegan high-top sneakers was a significant challenge, the main goal was first and foremost to ensure you felt comfortable in your shoes. Therefore, we made it a priority to prioritize comfort as one of our key features. Wallace, so that it becomes one of the key pieces in your wardrobe, not only for its irresistible design, but also for its comfortable wear throughout the day and in any season.

The first step in achieving this was to design a stylish high-top sneaker with clean lines, equally suited to a slim ankle or a wider foot, ensuring everyone feels comfortable once they slip it on. This was achieved thanks to a generous 8mm thick memory foam reinforcement at the collar of the shoe, providing perfect ankle support. This soft, fleecy lining also prevents the shoe from feeling loose or slippery.

The upper of our vegan women's high-top sneaker is reinforced all along the lace loop for a perfect fit at height, and our insole, in addition to being eco-friendly thanks to its composition of recycled cork bark, is topped with a thin layer of micro-textile to improve the feeling of cushioning.

In terms of materials, the inner lining of our eco-friendly high-top sneaker is made of a recycled mesh-type material (recycled plastic bottles), which is breathable, odor-resistant, antibacterial, sweat-wicking and hypoallergenic.

For us, style is first and foremost about knowing that our shoes are produced while controlling our impact.

So, we went all out on eco-responsibility by choosing the best eco-designed materials for each part of our high-top sneakers, in total agreement with our ecological values.

It starts with the inner lining of our sneaker, whose coating is made up of 30% seaqual plastics (recovered from the Mediterranean Sea) and 70% recycled plastic bottles.

For the insole, we opt for a natural product thanks to the use of recycled cork bark produced directly on site in Portugal, the country where our vegan women's/men's high-top sneakers are produced.

As for the laces, we're once again opting for a recycled product for a truly eco-friendly high-top sneaker. Like our inner lining, our laces are made from collected plastic bottles, which are then transformed into textile material.

Regarding the Wallace In white, as with our classic black high-top version, we use high-quality vegan materials from leading Italian manufacturers specializing in faux leather. All our materials are Oeko-Tex certified, guaranteeing that they protect both the environment and the health of those who produce them.

All our collections are Made In Europe and handmade in the northern region of Portugal, Southeast of Porto, in a small family workshop, with high know-how forged over the years and successive generations, with today more than 65 years of experience to its credit.

Our frequent visits to our production partners allow us to ensure that employees working at the various assembly stations, from cutting the pieces to sewing and then assembling our sneakers, receive consideration and kindness within a safe environment, with fair compensation in line with the selling price of our shoes.

Thanks to this approach, we can therefore benefit from the expertise of renowned production houses known for the know-how of their craftsmen in the making of shoes, who place the consideration of employees at the heart of their concerns, as well as the respect of health and safety rules.

The composition of our vegan women's high-top sneaker is evolving

To further our commitment to sustainable, ethical and vegan fashion, the all-black version of our women's high-top sneaker Wallace changes composition.

Historically, this shoe was made of:

• With an outer coating made of woven material: 100% recycled PET
• With an outer covering in faux leather: 71% polyester/29% cotton
• Made with a lining of recycled plastic bottles
• With a removable insole made of recycled cork covered in recycled polyester
• With an outsole made from 40% recycled rubber
• Laces made from recycled PET

This women's high-top sneaker is now made with a synthetic leather composed of grape pomace, recycled polyester, and water-based polyurethane. The material is obtained through several steps: harvesting the grapes, extracting the juice, recovering the grape pomace, and grinding the dry residue. The resulting substance is then mixed, processed, spread, and dyed until it is ready to use as the outer layer of the shoe.

A decidedly ecological manufacturing method, which reduces the amount of plastic in the composition of our sneaker, by favouring ingredients of natural origin such as grape pomace.

How to choose the right size for your vegan women's high-top sneakers?

There Wallace The shoe fits true to size, but is narrower in the forefoot. Therefore, if you think you have a slightly wider foot or are between sizes, we recommend going up a size. For example, if you wear a size 40.5, choose size 41. Otherwise, you can choose your usual size.

When trying on your new pair of women's high-top sneakers, remember to loosen the shoes to make them easier to put on. The materials that make up the Wallace They naturally soften over time, so their comfort will only improve.

Please note: the insoles of our sneakers are removable. If you wish, you can therefore remove them and replace them with orthotic insoles or your own.

How to care for your vegan women's high-top sneakers?

To care for your pair of WallaceSimply wipe the outside with a damp cloth and let them air dry. Just be careful not to expose them to direct sunlight to avoid damaging the colors.

If you want to freshen up your insoles, you can remove them and sprinkle them with a little baking soda. Place them in a sealed bag and leave them for several hours. Remove the powder by shaking your insoles, then put them back in your shoes: it's as simple as that.
