Le prix de nos baskets éco responsables : matières recyclées, fabrication éthique et prix justes.

If we created COG is to make high quality sneakers and city shoes, with top design, accessible to as many people as possible, produced according to true manufacturing ethics, so that they are no longer the privilege of a small number. of people, but a pleasure within everyone's reach.

Of course, this quality and our ethical charter have a price, and to achieve our objective, the problem of practicing an affordable selling price, in the face of expensive production because it respects our values, was imposed on us.

The ingredients of our mystery recipe: sacrifice nothing to our requirements , and share the production costs of your favorite models with you in complete transparency. Here we go, light on our expenses!

HOW DO WE DEFINE OUR PRICES?

1.

We submit the specifications of the model to the workshop, which shares with us a manufacturing price including the cost of materials and labor.

2.

We add the cost of our fixed charges and our variable costs.

3.

From this total amount, we calculate a margin which will ensure us to be profitable and the possibility of replenishing our stock.

4.

We add the cost price of the shoes and the margin, and we obtain an on-site sales price.

WHY DO OUR SHOES LEAVE THE FACTORY AT A PRICE AROUND €47?

"The noble character of a fashion item or a pair of shoes is not due to its rarity, but to the ethics according to which it was produced. This is the definition we have of luxury and that we want to share through COG."

- Omar, founder of COG.

Chaussures production locale Europe COG

By creating COG, we were adamant that the people we work with operate in good conditions , and that their rights are duly respected.

For that, no need to go far, we said to ourselves that Europe was the ideal place to produce. Our materials come from Italy and Spain, and Portugal enjoys an excellent reputation in the shoe industry. Factory employees work there in good conditions and receive a salary allowing them to live decently.

If produced in Europe - what's more, responsibly by ordering small quantities - necessarily impacts the cost price of our models, this choice also embodies our pride in being able to offer you sneakers and street shoes produced in a human framework, according to a philanthropic approach .

What we want above all is to offer you quality shoes, which are comfortable, elegant, and last the years.

However, who says quality products, says renowned partners . Our assembly plant is located in the region of Portugal with the best reputation in this area, 30km south of Porto.

Our shoes are made there in a small family workshop with over 65 years of experience, where we assemble as well shoes for women and shoes for men , passing on know-how for 3 generations.

Chaussures vegan de qualité et confortables COG
Baskets matières durables COG

As with our assembly workshops, we have chosen to only work with vegan materials from the most prestigious European houses.

In addition to being ecological, and for some, of a latest generation development, these materials are comfortable and robust to ensure that your pairs last long over time.

The price of a high quality material can be 2 to 5 times higher than an entry level material, our choice to only use high quality European materials has an impact which is directly reflected on the price of our shoes when they leave the factory.
