Eco-friendly sneakers made from recycled materials
The Winton is a cruelty free basket made from recycled materials including plastic waste fished out of the Mediterranean, cork and recycled rubber.
Breathability, anti-bacterial materials, adjusted reinforcement foam for more comfort, our shoes are made of high-quality European materials, from the circular economy and certified OEKO TEX 100, guaranteeing that we do not use toxic products that could harm your human health or the environment.
Vegan, cruelty free shoes
Our eco-friendly sneaker is ethically sewn! If this low-top sneaker is made from environmentally friendly materials, it is also cruelty free, which means that it does not contain any material of animal origin. The imitation leathers and imitation nubuck that make up its upper are labeled PETA APPROVED VEGAN by the animal protection association PETA. The same goes for the interior linings and laces made from recycled PET or bamboo. The Winton, like all of our vegan women's shoe collections and of vegan shoes for men, aim to democratize responsible and animal-friendly fashion. But we don't stop there at COG! If the protection of life as a whole is our main motivation, this does not limit it to the well-being of animals, and respect for human beings and craftsmen in charge of making our eco-responsible shoes is just as important to us.
Sneakers made in Europe
Our leather-free shoes are all made in Europe. From the development of the sketches in France near Lyon, to the origin of the eco-designed materials produced in Italy, Spain and Portugal, to their production south of Porto, our responsible sneaker collections are manufactured locally within 1,200 kilometers of our offices as the crow flies.
The motivations for this are multiple. First of all, choosing to collaborate with European partners is a way of limiting the impact of carbon emissions resulting from the manufacture of our eco-responsible sneakers. In addition, we ensure that our European sneakers are manufactured in workshops considering human rights and respecting their employees, both in terms of health and safety, and by paying them appropriately.
Why manufacture in Portugal? Quite simply because Portuguese production houses are also renowned for their great expertise in the field of footwear.
Working alongside them also allows us to offer you our ethical sneakers at fair prices, which reflect the ecological and responsible choices that our team wishes to democratize through our creations.
