THE ULTIMATE ECO-RESPONSIBLE SNEAKER
COG is a brand founded on a love of fashion, but even more on a love of life . From the workshop employees making our shoes, to the animals whose skin we are proud not to use as leather, our manufacturing process is based on the principle of respect for each life, and consideration of well-being of any individual.
Our collections are entirely vegan, and made in Europe - in the northern region of Portugal, in 2 small family workshops, ensuring a good working environment for their employees.
Today, our brand is taking a further step towards eco-responsibility by offering you a designer sneaker, produced from recycled plant materials !
By creating the TOPSY, we wanted to offer you the best vintage in terms of sneakers made from recycled plant waste.
In addition to being made from recycled plant materials, our TOPSY vegan sneaker is made in a production workshop in the northern region of Portugal, and is made up of raw materials sourced in Italy and Spain , for a 100% organic sneaker. European origin, produced in a reduced scope, and as a result, fewer CO2 emissions linked to transport .
MORE THAN A BASKETBALL, AN ANTHEM TO THE LIVING.
The name Topsy was inspired by an elephant born in Asia in 1867, and died in New York in 1903, after spending her life in captivity in a circus.
Defending herself from the abuse inflicted by her owners, Topsy ends up killing a trainer when he tried to make her eat a lit cigarette. To punish her for this act, it was decided to sentence her to death by electrocution in a public square on Coney Island on January 4, 1903.
Giving the name of this elephant, who has become the sad emblem of cruelty practiced towards animals, is our way of paying tribute to her memory, and our way of calling for greater consideration of animal life.
